Chaney’s Phantom, cloaked in darkness and despair beneath the Paris Opera House, is a masterclass in expressionist performance and early special effects. Presented with live piano accompaniment by Neil Brand, one of the world’s foremost silent film musicians and a celebrated BBC broadcaster, this special screening brings new energy and immediacy to the gothic masterpiece.
