The Sound of our Festival
Cheltenham International Film Festival (CIFF) presents The Film Orchestra (TfO) in a performance of Oscar-winning and nominated film music described as the best of cinema meets the grandeur of live orchestral music. TfO will perform iconic soundtracks from celebrated films, featuring iconic soundtracks and compositions from beloved and legendary composers such as John Williams, Ennio Morricone and Hans Zimmerman, whose works have significantly influenced cinematic history. The concert, as part of the festival’s new music strand, exemplifies our dedication to celebrating the art of filmmaking in all of its forms. On the evening of 25th September, the night of the concert, attendees will experience the integral role of music to film by paying homage to film scores that have become synonymous with cinematic excellence.
