TYPIST ARTIST PIRATE KING

British actress Monica Dolan gives the performance of her career as neglected artist Audrey Amiss in this touching and often very funny road movie. Her life, work and battles with mental illness are sensitively told via an event filled road trip she takes from London to Sunderland with her care worker Sandra (played by Emmy award winning actress Kelly Macdonald).

An affectionate and moving feature from the very talented and BAFTA-nominated writer / director Carol Morley (The Alcohol Years), which, like her acclaimed documentary Dreams of a Life, shines a light on a troubled and forgotten woman with sensitivity and compassion.
