This exhilarating biopic charts the rises and fall of the world’s first smartphone.

Following The Social Network and Steve Jobs, this exhilarating biopic charts the rise and fall of a technological innovation that was, for a short time, at the forefront of the IT revolution.

In the 1990’s tech nerd Mike Lazaridis (Jay Baruchel) is on the verge of creating the worlds first smartphone, but doesn’t have the business acumen to realise his dream. Enter cutthroat businessman Jim Balsillie (Glenn Howerton), who provides the backing to bring the device to market, revolutionising the way we communicate before Apple had even released the first iPod. World domination looked assured, but mismanagement, shady business deals and personal disputes soon brought the company crashing down.

With a wise cracking, fast talking script Arron Sorkin would be proud of, this entertaining drama satirises geek culture and corporate greed with equal relish.

“Makes geek history more entertaining than it has any right to be”
